ERD Grotesque Character Jacquard Knit Sweater - Dark Burgundy

Dark burgundy/wine heavyweight knit. Cream jacquard intarsia, front. Cream stripe cuff detail. ENFANTS RICHES DEPRIMÉS woven label at the neck.

Colorway: A deep, saturated dark burgundy/wine/brown - a rich, complex dark tone that reads almost chocolate-brown in some lighting. This is one of the more unusual colorway choices in ERD's knit range, lending the garment a more refined, melancholic register than the all-black versions.

Front: A large cream jacquard intarsia figure composition on the left chest and torso, spanning from the shoulder to below the waist. The graphic depicts a grotesque cartoon character - rendered in a sketchy, hand-drawn line style translated into knit intarsia:

• The character appears to be a humanoid or frog-like figure with an oversized, distorted head - bulging eyes, exaggerated features
• The body is drawn in a crouched, leaning, or huddled posture - arms wrapped around or clutching something, possibly self-embracing or holding an object
• The legs are elongated and end in large, cartoonish feet or shoes
• The overall register is somewhere between outsider art, comic book grotesque, and Japanese toy culture - a deliberate ugliness that functions as charm

The cream intarsia is rendered in a pixelated, sketchy knit style - the line art is intentionally rough and imperfect, amplifying the lo-fi, distressed character of the image.

Back: Plain dark burgundy knit - no intarsia or graphics. Clean reverse.

Cuffs: Two narrow cream knit stripes on each cuff, positioned just above the ribbed wrist band - a clean tipping detail that ties to the cream intarsia on the front without competing with it. Visible on both sleeves in the back view.
