ERD 24SS Pig & Skull Zip-Up Hoodie — Washed Charcoal

Closed, they face each other. Open, they are each alone.

Same construction as the Madonna zip-up — washed charcoal heavyweight fleece, full-zip, dropped shoulder, oversized — but a completely different image logic. Where the Madonna jacket places a single photograph across the zipper and lets the hardware divide it, this one uses the zipper as a hinge between two distinct figures, each living on its own panel, meeting only when the zip is closed.

Left panel: a pig. Hand-drawn line illustration, white on charcoal, the pig standing or moving, the linework clean and deliberate — the kind of drawing that belongs in a fable or a woodcut, something made with a specific tool and a specific intent. The pig carries faint skull features, or simply exists in proximity to what stands on the other side of the zipper.

Right panel: a skull in a wide-brimmed hat, wearing dark round glasses. The same hand-drawn line style — a figure that sits between a cartoon death and a Western outlaw, the hat giving it gravity, the glasses making it unreadable. It does not look frightening. It looks patient.

Zipper closed: the pig and the skull are side by side, the pig leaning toward the skull, the skull facing it. Two figures from different registers of imagery — one domestic, one mortal — standing together as though this is normal. Zipper open: each panel holds half an image, and the pairing that made sense disappears.

ERD names the colorway “Pig People.” The pig is a person, or the skull is, or both are, or neither is. The zipper is the only thing deciding whether they belong to the same picture.
